So, I haven't updated this blog in a very long time. Addison was born on 10/13/10, and its been an exciting journey ever since. She was born weighing 7lbs 5oz, and 20.1/2 inches long. After getting to know her so far, she loves to be held, and adores her big sisters.
Adjusting to the routine of a newborn is exciting and exhausting. You spend 9 months trying to imagine what she might look like, who she will act like. Who will she take after the most?! Then once she is born, you discover, she is entirely herself. She only likes to sleep on her tummy, which of course is a huge NO NO until she is older. She likes to eat when she is HUNGRY and not a second later. And, sleeping thru the night is something in the far distance.
She turned 10 weeks yesterday, and I'm seeing a little personality already. Of course she's got daddy wrapped around her little finger. The smiles come more often, and I think she actually gave a small giggle the other day. Last weekend at Papa Mark's house she actually rolled over on her play mat. Of course I was an impressed momma!
Addison met Santa and the twins Breakfast with Santa at their school. I expected her to scream, but nah, she slept right thru it. Only like a baby could! Then we went to the mall to see Santa, and she didn't mind that an old man was holding her wearing a big red suit. Hopefully she'll stay happy all the time, and Santa wont bother her. The twins were screaming on Santa's lap for their first Christmas
Its hard to believe that Christmas is only 2 days from now. My twins will be 9 3 days after, and man do I feel old. The big 30 is creeping up very very soon.
Well, that's its for now. I'll attach pictures very soon!

Almost 35 Weeks!
OK, so I haven't posted anything in a while. I guess I've been so lazy. Laying around in bed all day long is a very exhausting process. So, we had our 34 week appointment yesterday and we actually got to have another ultrasound and we got to see our sweet Addison probably for the last time before she is born. The ultrasound is estimating that her approx weight is about 5lbs 4oz as of right now. I now get to start going to the Dr every week. Its sort of surreal, I've never made it this far, and I'm not really sure what to expect yet.
The Dr's are telling me that I can stop the medicine and the at home monitor at 36 weeks. WAHOO!!! That means I get to get out of bed, and be normal again. When I was first told about bed rest, I really thought, that it would be wonderful. I can stay in bed all day long, and watch TV. I hate that I felt that way. Bed rest is horrible. I don't know how the women who end up on bed rest in the hospital do it. Being at home is hard enough.
I'm starting to worry about the process of Labor itself. Last time, it all happened so fast, that it all seems like a dream. I am hoping to attempt a VBAC. I've already signed all the appropriate papers. Of course I did tell my Dr. that if I needed a c-section for the safety of the baby or myself, then do the c-section, but she is optimistic that I'll do fine during the labor process. I'll post the latest ultrasound pictures as soon as I can get a chance to scan them.
I do see a light at the end of the tunnel, but it still seems so far away!

Only 26 Weeks!
Alrighty, so I just went in for my 26 week appointment. As you now I've been off work since 20 weeks due to being dilated to 1cm already. Well, the joys of having a body that doesn't enjoy being pregnant were apparent at my last Dr's Appointment.
Due to the twins being born at 29 weeks, she wanted to preform a test on me to determine if I'm showing signs of 'pre term labor'. Its my understanding that the test doesn't confirm that you will indeed deliver early, but it's not a good thing to get a positive result. And of course, mine came back positive. Anyways, during the appointment, I haven't dilated any more, but the DR could feel her head. I was sent over to Clovis Community to be monitored for Contractions. Luckily while I was there, there weren't any that caused any alarm. But I was given a shot in the 'bum' as the nurse put it, to help her lungs to mature in case she comes early, and was given pills to take every 6 hours to stop any contractions. I have to set an alarm to get up in the middle of the night to take the pill. Not fun at all, if you ask me.
Her heartbeat was completely normal, and she isn't showing any signs of being distressed so that's a good thing to know. I think she is just too impatient and wants to meet her family too soon.
So, I'm on complete bed rest now. I'm probably not really supposed to be sitting up typing, but I'm without my laptop, so this will have to do.
Anyways, I'm feeling good right now, but we will see what time will tell. I'm only 26 weeks, so if she came this early, wouldn't be a good thing. I'm going to do all I can to keep her in place until at least 36 weeks if possible.
I'll keep everyone posted as soon as I know anything else.

Disablity!
OK, so on Monday I went to the DR due to the fact that I just didn't feel right. I felt like I had to pee every 5 minutes and just didn't feel comfortable. So I am now off my feet and at home. At first I was kinda excited about it but being home is getting old already.
I'll be honest, I'm a little terrified. When I had the twins, I only made it to 29 weeks, and now I'm 20 weeks, and already at 1cm. I know that if the baby was to be delivered at this point it wouldn't survive. My heart is overwhelmed with fear!
I'm trying to stay as optimistic as possible and to listen to my body and know when I need to rest. Its very hard to stay sitting or laying down all day, but I gotta do it. I have to make it to at least 25 weeks, to have a chance of having the baby survive.
Anyways, I will keep everyone posted as to what the progress is, but I'm hoping it gets pretty uneventful from here on out.

18 weeks!
OK, so over the last few weeks, I've been really busy. I went to the cardiologist and they came back telling me that my heart is functioning perfectly, however, I have leakage in two valves. What does that mean? So they weren't too concerned, but its still scary going to see a heart doctor. They recommend that I go back in 2 years and have another Echo done.
My OB was relieved to know that everything looked OK with my heart, but she told me that starting at 24 weeks, I have to be seen every 2 weeks to check for pre-term Labor. I guess since my twins were born at 29 weeks, she doesn't want to take any chance's that's good, I guess.
Anyways, the big day is Thursday, when we should be able to find out the sex of the unborn baby! I'm really torn on what I think it might be. I've been thinking girl for a while now, because that's what I'm use to, but a boy would be fun too.
So we will know in less than 48 hours! I'll post the results ASAP!!
I got to meet my beautiful Neice Cassidy! She was super cute, and very mellow. I think the whole time I was there, I heard her cry only 1 time, and that's late at night. Its hard to see who she looks the most like right now. Some say Jessica, some say James. Only time will tell thats for sure. I can't wait for to start moving alot, and hearing her little voice later in life!

Hello 2nd Trimester!!
Ok, so today was our appointment, we are offically in the 2nd trimester. I'm excited to be at this point. It seems like i've forgotten so much about being pregnant since the girls were born. Well, my DR has reccomended that I been seen by a Cardioligist, dueto having Rheumatic Fever when I was 17. She wants to make sure that my heart wasn't affected in anyway. Being pregnant, can be hard on your heart, so they just want to make sure everything is working the way it should be. So we get to fnd out the sex of the Baby by May 27,2010, when we go in for our next big Ultrasound. So i'll keep everyone posted!

Universal Studios!
Last weekend, the 4 of us took a trip to Hollywood and spent 2 days at Universal Studio's! It was a lot of fun, but it was also exhausting! The girls and Ray had never been there. It was super funny watching Alexis get nervous about the rides, but she was a trooper and went on them anyways. We hope to be able to go back in a few months and enjoy everything that we didn't get to see this time!
Newest addition!
So as most of you know, we are expecting a new bundle of joy on 10/25/2010! Hopefully the baby wont come late, and end up a Halloween Baby! As of today I am almost 13 weeks along, and hoping to continue with a healthy, fairly uneventful pregnancy. I will keep everyone updated as we become updated with news on the pregnancy. We attempted to find out the sex this last week, and we didn't have any luck. So Boy or Girl, it doesn't matter, as long as its healthy! Although, Ray would say differently!
